Private Art Consulting (PAC) is an independent art advisory and strategic consultancy founded in 2020 on the belief that the strongest opportunities exist between industries, disciplines, and relationships that would otherwise never intersect.
WE THINK BEYOND TRADITIONAL ART CONSULTING

- DANA COHEN, FOUNDER, CEO & PRINCIPAL ART ADVISOR AT PRIVATE ART CONSULTING
A conversation may begin with an artwork, a collection, a project, a partnership, a brand, or simply a challenge that needs solving. Rather than operating within the conventional boundaries of an art advisory, gallery, creative agency, or consultancy, PAC brings together the right people, ideas, opportunities, and resources to help clients navigate acquisitions, complex projects, strategic opportunities, and art-led initiatives from concept through execution.
Our approach combines art market expertise with strategy, design, creative capabilities, business insight, and project execution. We help clients recognize opportunities, solve complex challenges, bring ambitious ideas to life, and navigate what comes next.

Our interdisciplinary model:
-

STRATEGY & CONSULTING
Achieve more informed decision-making, stronger positioning, better use of resources, and a clearer path forward.
Drawing on cross-disciplinary experience, PAC brings together seasoned expertise to evaluate opportunities from multiple perspectives before clients commit significant time, capital, or resources.
We anticipate challenges, uncover overlooked opportunities, identify underleveraged resources, and foresee how one decision affects the next.
-

ART ADVISORY & CURATORIAL
A well-curated art collection requires more than just good taste to be considered aesthetically captivating, contextually relevant, and strategically timeless.
Because PAC remains unrestricted and fully independent, we search broadly across the art market to identify the strongest opportunities for each client. To achieve larger objectives, our advisory team, including graduates of the Savannah College of Art and Design and UC Berkeley, combines art market knowledge, curatorial perspective, and design sensibility to evaluate artwork acquisition opportunities.
Through context, research, judgment, and an understanding of how each work relates to the collection, space, project, or opportunity around it, we consider artistic relevance, provenance and market history, pricing, quality, scale, placement, collection context, materials and media, and long-term objectives before making recommendations.
-

CREATIVE & DESIGN
Cohesive creative work that strengthens identity, differentiation, discoverability, and audience connection.
We understand how visual identity, messaging, and content work together. What PAC does especially well is combine traditional branding, design, and marketing expertise with art industry insight and cultural perspective to develop premium, distinctive, and relevant creative work.
Our capabilities span brand strategy and identity, creative direction, web design, graphic and packaging design, digital marketing, art collection presentations, custom-curated decks, content development and production, and social media and campaigns. PAC shapes the creative direction, develops the necessary assets, and manages execution from concept through rollout.
-

SPECIALIST NETWORK
The right outcome often depends on access to the right specialist at the right moment.
PAC maintains a trusted network of experienced specialists across Art, PR, IT, Advertising, Design, Fabrication, Production, Logistics, Custom-framing, Shipping, Installation, Insurance, Photography, Videography, Valuation, and other project-specific disciplines with an emphasis on professionalism, discretion, reliability, and quality of execution.
Rather than forcing every engagement through a fixed internal structure, we leverage specialized expertise as needed, depending on the scope, location, complexity, and needs of each project and client.
We serve as trusted advisors and creative partners to those who want to engage with art and creativity on a deeper, strategic level.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & how to get in touch with us.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
-
Private Art Consulting is headquartered in Miami, Florida, with strong roots in New York and Los Angeles. PAC works with clients and project partners across the United States and internationally, with the location and structure of each engagement determined by its specific needs.
-
PAC does not maintain artwork inventory, represent artists as an agent, or accept seller-side commissions. This means our recommendations are not limited to a traditional fixed roster of artists or an existing selection of works. We source broadly based on each client's objectives, preferences, collection, and project needs.
-
PAC provides art market research, pricing analysis, comparable-sales research, acquisition strategy, and broader market context to support informed collecting decisions. We consider factors such as quality, provenance, rarity, market history, demand, and long-term collection objectives. PAC does not provide financial advice or guarantee future appreciation or investment returns.
-
PAC does not act as a seller, dealer, gallery, or artist representative. For private collectors and institutions, PAC’s art advisory practice is buyer-side: we advise clients on acquiring art, not on selling or consigning works from their collections. When appropriate, we may help identify qualified third-party specialists or sales channels.
For select professional artists, PAC can advise on the strategy and infrastructure behind selling art, including pricing, positioning, collector development, outreach strategy, sales materials, negotiation, and opportunity evaluation. PAC does not represent artists, sell artwork on their behalf, guarantee sales, or provide pay-to-play collector introductions.
-
Discretion is fundamental to our work. Client identities, collecting interests, budgets, negotiations, acquisitions, private transactions, project details, and other sensitive information are treated as confidential.
-
Fees vary according to the scope, complexity, duration, expertise required, and level of involvement in an engagement. PAC works across focused advisory assignments, project-based engagements, strategic evaluations, and more comprehensive advisory and execution. Please inquire for more information.
-
After you submit an inquiry through the form at the bottom of the appropriate service page, PAC will schedule an initial conversation to assess alignment, answer initial questions, and discuss the most appropriate way to move forward.
-
You do not need to know exactly which PAC service you need before reaching out. Many clients come to us with an objective, opportunity, project, acquisition, or challenge rather than a predetermined solution. Our initial conversations help determine whether PAC is well suited to assist and what type of support may be most valuable.

When formal appraisal, authentication, conservation, legal, tax, or other specialized expertise is required, PAC can help coordinate with appropriate independent professionals.

While PAC does not accept unsolicited artwork submissions for client projects, we encourage you to join our Interest List.
