Conversations: Part 5 - What’s to Come with Private Art Consulting

Host:

Dana, that the art world right now is in an incredibly exciting place. It seems to be changing every day, different types of technologies coming in, different concepts, art being shared in different ways, more immersive art experiences, it's swirling at a fast pace and it seems to be more important now than ever. That being said, what can we expect from the future regarding PAC and the events series?

Dana Cohen:

Our curated events series is quite simple. We are going to give the people what they have been asking for. We are going to create special collecting experiences. Our focus is on intimacy, information and unparalleled access.

Our events will be an environment where our clients can come together to enjoy a tailored atmosphere. It’s for those who enjoy learning about art, experiencing it, asking questions, getting to know artists, and for those who gravitate toward a private and intimate 5-star setting. The events are just for our clients and will not be open to the public.

From my experience, attending a huge exhibition opening at a traditional gallery with a line down the street is great for PR and for photos, but for collectors who are serious, who value high-quality customer service and confidentiality, this is not the right fit. They can't get any questions answered, they don't know the exact terms, pricing does not include the bottom line and they do not know what they are looking at. With the traditional model, they can't have that intimate moment with the art in the right way. If they are lucky maybe they can share a quick conversation with the artist, presuming the artist has a few minutes they can delegate to speaking with them, but no more than that.

Although our events will be private, we do have a mailing list available for those interested in learning more (sign-up for details). We are really excited and know it's going to be something that does not exist, a really special experience.

Well Dana, this has been a great series. They say that knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit and wisdom is knowing not to put a tomato in a fruit salad. With the wisdom you have amassed and your meticulous attention to detail, I’m so excited to share more enlightening conversations with you in the near future.

Dana Cohen:

Cheers to the ever-evolving world of fine art!
